EYE OF THE SUN
is my final degree project, submitted to the University of Hertfordshire as partial requirement for the BA (Hons) 3D Animation and Visual Effects.
This video showcases a teaser trailer for the film.
I worked as a director and groom artist on the project, leading a core team of 7 other students and 11 freelancers. I also assisted with various other roles throughout production, including lighting, compositing, rendering and technical troubleshooting.
The film itself is an homage to the Egyptian legend of Sekhmet, the personification of the sun god Ra's rage. We intended to explore and expand Sekhmet's side of the legend, focussing on her autonomy and the nuanced emotions she would have felt rebelling against her father.

WE OF THE CAPTURED
When he wakes up, knowing nothing but his name, Orinyre quickly realises he is in an unfamiliar world. Not even his winged body is the same as what he once owned. With the 8th Division by his side, he embarks on a quest to uncover his past. He will meet new friends, discover enemies, and find that the future of wards and humans alike rest in his hands.
For the sake of his peoples, he must choose to face forward, instead of looking back.

We of the Captured (WOTC) is a comic written and illustrated by me!
WOTC is published in AXP, a Shogakukan comics paper. I create this comic under the guidance of Singapore Polytechnic's Comic AX mentor Mr Johnny Lau, author of Mr Kiasu comics! I aim to one day publish WOTC as its own independent comic. It is currently still under development as I write and illustrate new pages everyday.
Here you will find the prologue chapter of WOTC and some art and sketches of the characters I created, hope you enjoy!

PATHOS
was my Level 5 creative project film.
PATHOS is inspired by the Greek myth of Pygmalion, where a beloved statue comes to life. I wanted my film to be a love letter to all the art pieces left unfinished and abandoned, a reflection on the work I had done so far in my two years in university.
As a solo project, this film was incredibly challenging to tackle. I had to learn how to problem solve and troubleshoot in a software I was barely familiar in, all while figuring out my own style of simulation. While I am satisfied with the creative direction of the film, like the camerawork and story itself, the film unfortunately remains as a work in progress. I hope to be able to come back to it in the near future and finish it soon!

PAY IT FORWARD
is an animation by a team of 5 students from Singapore Polytechnic's Diploma in Digital Animation. It was created for a short animation competition hosted by People's Association Integration Council. The theme was "embracing diversity, integration and social norms". Pay It Forward was awarded 1st place in the competition.
I created the original concept and character designs, and later assisted with the inbetweens, final edits, and audio mastering.
INTERNSHIP @
PROJECT X
I was the volunteer management intern at Project X under the National Youth Corps Community Internship program from April to August 2022. I took on the internship to fill in the time I had between receiving my diploma and starting my degree course. It also gave me the opportunity to experience a side of Singapore I would never have encountered otherwise, and to interact with and provide my service to one of the most marginalised communities there.
Project X is the only non-profit organisation in Singapore that provides social, emotional, and health services to people in the sex industry. Project X envisions a fair and safe sex industry for everyone involved and a society that respect sex workers, their clients, partners, and families.
Although my official job designation was volunteer management, I also assisted with maintaining our drop-in centre, went on regular outreach sessions, helped host our monthly STI testing days, facilitated STI tests, created designs for our social media and collaterals, gave talks about Project X to students, and whatever else was needed to be done! I also helped host our volunteer training session, and created an animation for our volunteer training video.

360EDUCATION
I was an intern at 360Education Pte Ltd from April 2021 to March 2022 under Singapore Polytechnic's internship program. I decided to take up a 10-month-long internship as instead of the usual 22 weeks to try and challenge myself during my final year pursuing my diploma. I then signed on to work with them part-time for another month. 360Education is a company specialised in visual art education inspired by Øistein Kristiansen.
My job mainly involved editing videos, hosting school assembly shows, planning lessons, creating marketing posters, and teaching preschool art lessons.
This internship has pushed me far from my comfort zone, especially when it came to teaching young preschoolers. It has taught me many valuable skills, as well as provided opportunities to hone my abilities. My time at 360Education has been a challenging experience, but an invaluable one.
